tef43 Posted June 24, 2005 #26 Share Posted June 24, 2005 On the Carnival ships that gadawg has sailed on, the S&S card does *not* function as the cabin key, so there is not a terrible danger in having the cabin # printed on the card. http://www.carnival.com/CMS/FAQs/Embarkation_Procedures.aspx
lil nemo Posted June 24, 2005 #27 Share Posted June 24, 2005 Caper has small print telling you not to use your S&S card for the safe. The S&S card will deactivate and then you have to go to the pursers desk and get that fixed and then you have to wait for someone to come open the safe. The pursers desk people get really nasty about it. The maintenance people take their own sweet time coming to open the safe so you waste half a day. sls going to scour the capers right now! after 6 cruises you would've thought I'd had seen this "warning"! dromMOM Posted June 24, 2005 #29 Share Posted June 24, 2005 We brought our Library Card to use.. as I was afraid we would lose any other valuable card.. My son lost his S&S card.. and within 10 minutes.. he had a new one.. no problems there.. Of course we then strung it around his NECK!
