iPhone/iPad Question

My husband and I both have iPhones and I have an iPad. Is it possible to access Facebook on board ship? Also, do they need to be on airplane mode in order to use my Kindle?

It is definitely possible to access Facebook, but you would have to purchase internet from the ship. You can put it in airplane mode and then turn the WiFi back on.

Yes you can access Facebook. It will cost you. you have to buy an internet package or pay per minute. Just a heads up... It will be sloooowww. think dial up slow. Your iphone will work but check with your carrier on roaming charges. Your kindle will not connect without having internet package so might as well download what your going to read before the cruise.

Or you can get the FREE Kindle app for your iPad from the App Store and just download the books you want to read from your Kindle library.

 

Your Kindle library is stored on your FREE Amazon Cloud Drive (part of your Amazon account) so you can access it anywhere from any device via WiFi with the appropriate FREE Kindle App.

 

In other words, no need for a Kindle and an iPad, unless you want to carry an extra device and charger just because.

I do have the Kindle app on my iPad, and have already got my vacation book downloaded to it. :)
