Hawaii Jeep Rentals

I'm not sure how to answer this one.

Most roads are well enough maintained that a jeep isn't necessary. A few exceptions might include the road above Kapalua and the backside of Haleakala on Maui, some backcountry roads on Molokai and Lanai. A lot of the roads that a 4 wheel drive are needed are private and you'd need permission to use them.

The Big Island is so big that I wouldn't want to drive around it in a jeep, tho that's just me. But then again, it would be nice to have a jeep if you were going up Mauna Kea.

You can't drive around in a jeep with anything in it, park it at a beach park or restaurant and expect anything to be left inside when you return. You'd have to take everything with you .

But then, there's that certain feeling you get tooling around a tropical island in a jeep. A real thrill, with the sun shinin' and the Trade Winds blowing thru your hair. The openess of a jeep is special.
