squigglymip Posted July 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2013 We searched for a wine tour in Toulon and only found a couple of companies. The first one was already booked up, so we spent the full day with Bandol Wine Tours operator Richard. He met us at the port and we toured 3 wineries and had the most amazing picnic all by ourselves on top of a mountain/overlook. The other couple cancelled so it was just the two of us. The region is know for rose wine, which is drier than we know it in the USA. (When I think rose, I think sweet, but this was not so for 2 of the 3 we visited). They also had some good reds as well. We took home a bottle from each cellar. I highly recommend it. Do the picnic!
