Leaving the ship at Harwich

Hi people that have sailed from Harwich before once on board are you able to disembark to go to Morrisons to stock up on drinks or go back to your car if we leave some drinks in there. Thank you :)

Can't speak for a Thomson cruise as we we are first timers on Spirit 3rd August. We have sailed from Harwich with RCI. Once on board there was no way off. The whole operation is geared to embarkation. Customs and ships security is not open for disembarking. You are already deemed to have left the UK.

 

Even if you could leave Morrissons is quite a hike from the pier. I wouldn't want that walk loaded down with booze. The long stay carpark is also not exactly alongside. I think you will have to carry on or put your drink in checked luggage. They x-ray both!

 

If you need any help with the local area just ask. We live in Ipswich only 40 minutes drive from Harwich

Thank you Barkeeper. We have sailed from Harwich before and Thomson car park and Morrisons was right next to the Ship just not sure if you could leave once on board. Managed to get drink on last time just thought if we could buy more would save lots of money.:D
