We are in Marseille on Saturday Nov 2 on Seabourn Pride and was thinking of renting a car and driving to Chateauneuf du Pape and now after reading these post stopping at Les Baux on the way back. Can this be done in a 8AM -6PM day?

Make sure you have a good road map. If you make a wrong turn you could lose a lot of time.

I would prefer to visit only one place. Because o f time you'll need to use Autoroute. Have cash for tolls unless you have a chip credit card.

I was planning on taking a GPS with the car rental to hopefully not get too lost (I can hear the recalculating already). So time wise it is feasible?

In Canada we have the chip cards, but don't know if they will work in France.

I would expect your chip card to work. You may see if you can get a rental with a transponder included. That way you can drive through the tolls.
