chessiecat Posted July 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2013 which park would be better for someone who can only walk short distances, Irving Nature Park or Rockland? How long a walk is it to the beach at Irving nature park. Thanks
Acey-SJ Posted July 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2013 The entrance to Irving Nature Park is at a beach. Its too cold to swim in. The trail at Irving nature park basically wraps the circumference of the park - and most of it is looking down hills and cliffs to the water without access to what's below (aside from a tidal marsh boardwalk). You can exit the trail at certain intervals onto the main dirt auto road in the park. The terrain is uneven forest paths with a few rocks to step over. The whole trail would be anywhere from 2 to 4 hours depending on your pace. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
