Hotel/pier shuttle

Any hotels near the French Quarter that include an airport and/or pier shuttle? We're doing a pre cruise stay on Saturday Oct 1. Also since we won't be getting into Nola until after 6pm, does it make sense to spend more to get a FQ hotel or should we be looking at one close to the pier?

The Maison St. Charles offers free shuttle to the pier when you book their cruise special room (under $100 a night). They are located pretty close to the pier....not in the FQ, but the trolley runs right in front of the hotel so you can hop on that to take you to the FQ.

Just back yesterday from NO. Our hotel (Homewood Suites) arranged for a shuttle from hotel to pier. It was $28 total (4 people) Your concierge at the hotel could arrange. From my view, I would NEVER stay in the French Quarter. Too stinky, dirty and noisy. You can conveniently walk there from any nearby hotels. Loved the visit...wouldn't go back!
