Resident Rate

Recommended Posts

I just did a mock booking and it was under "Resident Rate" if you qualify. How do you find out if you qualify for this rate? Do you have to submit the price drop and wait for Carnival to contact you or can you find out another way without submitting the price drop? Don't want to waste anyone's time if we won't qualify.

Thanks for all your help

This information is stated when entering your state of residency (on Royal Caribbean):

Residents of particular states may be eligible for special rates. We want to make sure you receive the best price offer possible. A valid driver's license, state-issued ID or current passport will be required for validation at the pier.

It sounds as if you've already booked, so I recommend that you contact Carnival for the change. As stated above, proof of residency will be required, or you won't receive the discounted rate.
