Dream question

Morning!! So, I'm riiiiight about to book the Feb.8th 7day Eastern on the Dream and was speaking to someone from Carnival and she advised me that I should really consider another date because the ship seems really full. She said, " I don't know if it's the Super Bowl or something but I'd book on another sailing!" After we hung up I realized we'd be gone on Valentines day! Duh! I kind of like that idea even more. I've been on about a dozen cruises and I'm sure there's been a few that were full... I just never asked/was told. So, my question is...is it really THAT big of a deal? I'm aware that lines might be a little longer but is there anything else I might be overlooking? What's it like being on a sold out ship that is as big as the Dream?

As far as I have always been told, Carnival sails full MOST of the time. So, go and enjoy yourself.

I would assume 95%, or higher, of the cruises are full. They could be saying that its pretty full this far out, so they might think that it is a large group that booked.

Dream had ~4,600 on board for our July 13 sailing. :eek:

 

I was amazed how uncrowded it felt most of the time. Though we don't hang out at the pool - I imagine Lido was crowded.

I've been on the Dream when it was sold out 4,000+ passengers. It wasn't that bad. Sea days around the pool are always crowded and buffet at peak times is crowded but nothing terrible. Go for it and enjoy.
