seafish Posted August 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2013 City Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus Tours are a great way to get orientated before exploring the city sights. I see that Old Quebec Tours offers a HOHO Bus Tour. While the website (http://www.toursvieuxquebec.com) provides some info as to original starting location, cost, hourly departure times, stops & cost ... it does not indicate IF tickets can be purchased on-board at any of the 11 stops -or- if tickets are only available at the original starting location -12 Sainte-Anne Tourist Info Kiosk? In our past travels all of the HOHO buses had tickets available for purchase on the buses at any of the stops. Is this also true on the Quebec City Double-Decker Bus Tour? Appreciate any info from those that have done this tour - how did it work for you?
Rare monkey@cruise Posted August 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2013 Quebec Old City is very small, I used the Ecolobus (Electric bus) to shuttle between point of interest. Fare is $2/ride or $7.25 for day pass. The only catch is you cannot buy the pass on bus, either from convenience stores, drug stores or authorized outlets. We also used the day pass travel to Montmorency Falls, just outside Quebec city. The electric bus route is similar to the HO-HO route. http://www.rtcquebec.ca/Portals/0/docs/pdf/Services/Services/Ecolobus/Ancien-Nouveau_trace_Ecolobus_mai2012.pdf
