kathy6890 Posted August 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2013 I'll be on the HAL Veendam in August, stopping in Saint John, Sydney and Halifax. My children would like to view some seals. Any thoughts about where might be a good spot to view some seals frolicking or lounging at any of the above locations. A look out point, a hike, anything would be fine. Thanks so much! Acey-SJ Posted August 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2013 You may be able to spot Harbour seals right in the boardwalk in Saint John. You tend to see them when then are a lot of birds flying low near the water when tide is going out - indication of fish. You'll see their head bob up and they will disappear and reappear a couple minutes later 100 feet away.
