Teenie Weenie Posted August 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2013 Has anyone done the excursion in Flam - railway with hiking. How strenuous is the walking as I have this booked, but I have recently got a fibroid that gives backache so hope the walking is manageable. Tried to change to Railway only, but its fully booked
terri23 Posted August 6, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2013 this is one of the best excursions i have ever taken. It is a long walk, quite a few miles, but sloping downhill. beautiful scenery, waterfalls and farmland. friendly goats.

Martini Sampler Posted August 6, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 6, 2013 We did this several years ago and would do it again in. The first bit was on a gravel path that took some care but well worth the effort. Enjoy! The out of shape old guy had no trouble.
cruisenfever Posted August 6, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 6, 2013 We just did the Flam Railway Excursion this past June. An excursion well worth the price.
SoBaycruiser Posted August 8, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 8, 2013 You could always rent a bike to ride down. There is a bike shop that will transport bikes to the top.
