ilovemom Posted August 13, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2013 Hello fellow Michigander, both you and the kids will have so much free activies available that you won't be able to do them all. There is an arcade for the kids which does cost money and an adult arcade (casino) which does cost money. But there are kids clubs which are free except for after hours which starts at 10 for the younger kids, the bigger kids club is open later and free the whole time. There is a water slide which is free and swimming pools as well. Trust me you will have a great time:D

Neotericisis Posted August 13, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 13, 2013 In Ocho Rios there is Dunns River Falls where they can climb up the waterfall, chose to enter the water fall in the middle via stairs (like a cold natural Jacuzzi), or swim in the brackish water of the beach. The Falls are set up around a modern facility similar to a theme park in the U.S., so there is an entrance fee and you can rent water shoes or wear your own. The waterfall climb is not for the faint of heart and while I've done it numerous times as a kid I wouldn't dare do it now since the rocks are so slippery and your only anchor is a human hand chain of other tourists and a few provided Waterfall Guides. I WOULD enter from the stairs though- that water feels great! The beach is not the best but the brackish water is really cool and you can actually see and feel the cold river water mixing with the warm Caribbean sea. I believe the entrance fee is around $20/pp There is also Island Village which is an enclosed tourist facility. I haven't been there is a couple of years, but when I went it was free to get it and they had various tourist shops, a movie theater, a clean beach with changing facilities. and a Margaritaville with a free pool (about a 7-10 min. walk from the port). Check out the port forum sections for more info. on both the Cayman Islands and Ocho Rios! I hope you enjoy your cruise!!
