Playa Bella Vista for snorkeling?

I read about this area on "Cozumel Insider." Apparently there are a couple of dive/snorkel shops there with lockers, and you can just wade into the water and snorkel.

Just wonder if anyone out there has done this, and what your experiences were!:)

I have been to Cozumel several times and never run across or heard of Playa Bella Vista.

Just came up with this on google. Sounds horrid to me.

 

 

PlPlaya Bella Vista and Sunset Beach are facilities used by one of the large tour providers for some of their water sports activities including resort courses, snuba and snorkeling. The FURY snorkel catamarans are also moored just south of Sunset Beach when not active. It's not uncommon to see hundreds of snorkelers enjoying this area prior to the catamaran's daily tour departure time.

Sunset Beach is off camera a couple hundred feet to the right (south).

I guess this might not be our best choice for wade-in snorkeling...
