This is a bummer for us...we are leaving for the big island in a week. :(

Youre welcome...as mentioned in another thread, the park isnt closed and there is still tons to do...but the safety of tourists is paramount. The VNP website can give daily eruption activity updates you can follow...but you never know until you get there what mood Madame Pele is in!

Mrs crewsin250 is about the same, you never know until after the 1st cup of coffee in the mouring what mood she may be in. (LOL)
