CRUISE2062 Posted September 11, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 11, 2013 While I haven't stayed in this particular cabin on the Dream, we prefer aft cabins since most of our activities on the ship are located mid-ship to aft. We were originally booked in cabin 7440 (by choice) for our Feb. 2014 cruise on the Dream. We have been upgraded and received cabin 8415. While not technically aft, it is still a prefered location for us. Your deck 8 cabin only has cabins located above and below you so noise shouldn't be a factor at all....enjoy! If the cabins and deck are the same layout and size.... what makes this an "upgrade?"
CRUISE2062 Posted September 11, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) Yes, the cabins are the same but we went from an 8B to and 8D. Not a big deal but it is farther away from Deck 5 Promenade that circles the ship. And we didn't have to pay more so why not!:) The higher the deck on the ship the higher the price...thats the way they price them. Orlandocruisers Posted September 12, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 12, 2013 Comments about the location, noise, whatever of cabin 8442 on the DREAM? Has this been your cabin in the past? No shade on balcony, not private(you can talk to your neighbors) balconies are angled so you can see all balconies above and below. Quiet with great view. We did have some soot on chairs. Cabin attendant was great. Bit of a walk to elevators. Hope this helps
