Need recommendation for Punta Del Este

We are taking an Oceania cruise which will stop in Punta Del Este. None of the ship's shore excursion options are beach related, and my wife REALLY wants to visit the beach there. Any suggestions other than taking a taxi ourselves? We'd want beach chairs, umbrella, etc. Thanks in advance for any tips!
