Sometimes our Land Discoveries staff can review shore excursion content to reduce the actual operating time (e.g., reduce shopping stops) to add more free-time prior to the departure of the AzAmazing Evening. However, Catania, Sicily is one of the few ports that even after reviewing the day program, they were not able to have more than 30 minutes in between the tour and the event.

 

In an effort to minimize the conflict between the shore excursion return time and the AzAmazing Evening start time, its time has been amended to "At Your Leisure" to allow our guests to pre-book the evening event without affecting the day shore excursion.

 

Also, the Miami shore excursion staff sends a report to the onboard Land Discovery Managers a few days before the voyage, to help them identify all the guests booked on any tours on the same day of the AzAmazing Evening Event. By doing so, we make sure that they have time to come back to the ship, refresh and join the last bus departing the pier.

 

The AzAmazing Evening Event will depart as soon as the ship is cleared and the event will not start until all the guests are there. The transfer time is approximately 15 minutes depending on traffic, which in October should be light.

 

Undoubtedly the window between the two events is short, but you will have the flexibility to experience both and not have to choose one or the other. I hope this information helps you with your decision making.
