Wine Bottle Size

How strict are they about the wine bottle size that each person brings? I am just wondering because I can't find the smaller bottle of what I need to bring, if I need to bring something different in the smaller bottle I will..I was just wondering.

Pretty strict. I have seen larger bottles of wine sitting on the table full of confiscated items behind the security people.

750 ml is what they allow.

Thank you for the responses..I know that it is 750ml..I will just find something else to get not a problem..just thought I would check

In 2010 we were on the Glory out of Miami. We brought 2 1.5 liter bottles with us which we purchased at a store in Miami, but both bottles were confiscated during the check-in procedure.

They gave us a receipt and the bottles were there when we returned, so we at least got to use them after the cruise.

750 ml is the standard size for a wine bottle. Probably 90%+ of all wine produced are 750 ml. You should be able to find something.

I saw that a lady got a box wine on. Just took the bladder out of the box.

We could have walked on with 6 or more bottles. They never checked our 2. They were very concerned about a small rolling luggage carry-on that we had though! It doubles as a cooler, and once they saw the lining inside it was a fight to get it on, but they did allow it. It is a normal type luggage (which we had the wine/meds/cloths and such in it. And in the rom it is a leak-proof cooler that kept our wine/cokes cold all week! :cool:

I've always taken big ones and they have never even checked (11 cruises). I suppose I've been really lucky! I usually carry them in a back pack or duffel bag. I realize the metal detector people don't really care as long as it's not a weapon. My iron got taken out of my luggage though :(
