HEADS UP! Possible Fuel Surcharge?

My TA just sent me the following:

 

"I have just been made aware that on July 15th up-scale Crystal Cruises will apply a $4.00 per day, per person surcharge to all new cruise fares, and to those not paid in full by that time, regardless of the sailing date.

I've checked with Oceania, and a number of other lines, but none has an awareness of any surcharge to be applied in the near future. However, Res' and Sales people only know what they are told and they don't make the decisions. This is hot on the heels of the financial "gurus" anticipating that a barrel of crude will hit new heights by summers end. As I say, just a heads-up!"

So, there you go ... for what it's worth.

Our final billing for Oceania's Regatta 8-31-05 cruise into the Baltics includes the following: "Air Taxes, Fuel Surcharges and Ticketing Fee" without a breakdown, just a total!

RSSC added a fuel charge a month or so ago, much to the disappointment of its regulars.

my cruise is not until oct. 06, and my bill already shows air tax, fuel surcharges and ticketing fee to be 428.00-for the two of us.:(
