Has anyone use shoreexcursioneer?

 

I had booked with them in November 2012 for an ATV excursion in Belize. A few months before my cruise, there was a review on Cruise Critic from someone who had them booked for the same excursion and when they got to Belize, they found out the vendor wouldn't honor the reservation since they had severed there relationship with ShoreExcursioneer. She was never told before hand and ended up paying more for the excursion and having to try to get her deposit back from ShoreExcursioneer when she got home.

 

With that, I emailed them and they admitted that they were no long associated with the vendor but was looking into finding someone else. At that point in time, I cancelled the ATV excursion plus Mr. Sanchos in Cozumel that I booked through them.

 

Once they stopped that association, anyone booked should have been notified. I did not want to go through what the other poster went through and not being notified in advance was wrong on their part. I know others have used them with no problem but for me, they care more for the $$ then they do the customer so for that, I wouldn't recommend them.

Yikes! :eek: I just booked Mr. Sanchos through them last night for our visit to Cozumel in November... Should I be worried? Their website says you can cancel for any reason & deposit is fully refundable...

We used Shore Excursioneer 2 times so far and were extremely satisfied with them. The first time we booked with them our excursions in Belize and Roatan, that was in November 2012. We did our homework and saw this exact post about unhappy clients on the ATV tour in Belize. They only had excursions in 8 ports at that time and this was the only bad review we could find on the internet. We did think that something like this can happen and all other reviews were more than positive, taking into account the size of their business we thought that it is not a bad record at all.

We ended up booking with them because it was astonishingly easy to communicate with them over the phone, chat and email, everytime we had all our questions answered in a very professional way, with much more detail and responsibility than the ship's own shore excursion department. In addition, their prices were the best we could find. So we did the cave tubing in Belize (where we were told by the local operator that the company is now working with them since the former operator had a criminal case pending) and we did the Roatan sightseeing tour. We are not travel experts or cruise specialists, but the level of service we received from them and their local operators was very comforting. We booked with them again in March 2013, Progreso and Cozumel and again, all worked out as planned.

I do not have facebook but I give them a "like" right here right now! :)

I'm glad you had a good experience with them. There are others that used them and had good experiences also and hopefully OP will have the same.

I read this last night & contacted Mr. Sanchos as I had just booked with them yesterday. Mr. Sanchos said that it was OK. Can't wait, looking forward to Mr. Sanchos.
