Florence - Private Versus cruiseline tour.

I am trying to decide between:

 

1) a private tour with driver only ($185 each) plus entrance fees)for both

 

2) private tour with driver and a tour guide that joins us for 3 hours while

in FLorence($250 plus entrance fees)

 

3) a bus transfer to Florence ($75 each)

 

4) a best of Florence bus tour ($165 each)

 

Any ideas on this? I haven't heard back from the private tour place anyway, but hope to hear today. Thanks

A few years ago, my sister and I did "Florence On Your Own" by RCCL. This October, our small group of 4 is also planning to do the same excursion by Celebrity - mainly because our stop in Florence is on a Monday when the "Accademia" museum that houses the Statue of David is closed. It's an option, which I believe costs somewhere around $60 or so per person. There is a guide on the bus who narrates during the hour trip from Livorno to Florence, provides you with a highlighted map of the city, walks you to the center of the city and leaves you on your own to spend as much time as you want where you want. No entrance fees are included - neither is lunch (on your own). There is a set time and place to meet for the return back to the ship. Another option for you to consider.
