Age restrictions in spa?

My family and I will be sailing on the Breeze March 1. I promised my 13 year old daughter that we would have a spa day together. I read a review of the Spa and the writer said that you need to be 16 and over. :( Does anyone know if this is true?

Looks like they do have a Spa Youth Program.

Spa Carnival / Cloud 9 Spa (Splendor / Dream / Magic / Breeze / Sunshine)

· Fitness Center and Studio – Guests must be at least 18 years of age to use the fitness facilities on their own. Minor guests (12-17 years of age) may use the facilities provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian (subject to restrictions posted outside the Fitness Center).

· Salon - Salon services (hair, nail and facial services) are available to guests of all ages.

· Spa Facilities - Guests must be at least 18 years of age to receive treatments or utilize spa facilities, including the sauna and steam rooms (within the locker rooms) as well as use of the Thermal Suite and Thalassotherapy Pool at the Cloud 9 Spas.

· ZSpa Youth Program - Teens (13-17 years of age) must be accompanied by an adult when they book treatments on board. Parents or a guardian must complete and sign the spa’s consultation form acknowledging their consent before services are rendered.

When we were on the Breeze last year, we were told no one under 16 was allowed to use the fitness center, with or without a parent. 12-16 year olds were allowed to use the outdoor equipment on the sports deck only. Maybe they have changed the rules since then.

Not sure about the rules, but I've never seen anyone under the age of 18 in the spa. What were you planning to do for your girls' spa day? Facial, nails, massage? You may be better off planning it for one of your ports.
