hpecorari Posted October 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2013 Not sure if this was ever discussed before but as I just spent my birthday on my last cruise I'd thought I'd share. According to NCL Website CAS states that they have a 'Special Birthday Offer' which shows it for all the Tiers. My birthday was on a Monday. The following Wednesday I asked the Casino Host about the 'special birthday offer' that it states that CAS tier members receive. She never came to me about it......however, when I asked her she said she'd get back to me. The next day she said that it was a Bathrobe and she'd contact the Spa and have it delivered to my room. Two days later she said she was still working on it and it would be delivered from Housekeeping, not the Spa. Sure enough, the next day a brand new bathrobe with the NCL Logo in a sealed plastic bag was waiting for me on my bed. Now, I have no idea if the 'gift' is dependent on what Tier you are or not, however, this is what I received. In addition, although it had nothing to do with my birthday, the Casino picked up the tab at the Italian Restaurant, the French Restaurant, the Steakhouse and the Brazilian Restaurant, as they made those reservations for me which included a bottle of wine or a cocktail for my guest and myself if we didn't drink wine. It also allowed me to get the 'lobster tail' as a free add on at both the Steak House as well as the French Restaurant. Oh, and at the beginning of my trip she did seek me out, welcome me and ask for our room keys to put a soda sticker on for us. We don't drink soda so we didn't take the sticker. The evening before the cruise ended she also removed $600.00 off of my bill. That basically covered the few drinks we had, excursions, the Chefs Table, and a few items I purchased at the onboard store. Although the machines were tight.....and the black jack dealers were very lucky, I was treated well. However, I will stress once again although it's been said before...... don't play for perks. Play as you would normally play and the perks are just a bonus! Harriet Who is not a big drinker and if I had 5 drinks on that players card during my 11 day cruise it was a lot! clcjdn Posted October 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2013 Not sure if you play video poker or not, but I am curious if there were any progressive VP machines? Also, if possible, do you remember the pay tables for Double Double Bonus? I am mainly a $0.25 player, but dabble at the higher levels once in a while. Thanks in advance! We will be on the Sun in a couple of weeks. Thanks! Joe

bahama2 Posted October 24, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2013 I'll be on the Breakaway on the 11/10/13 cruise. My birthday is 11/12 and I hope I'm at least half as lucky as you. I've been on over seventeen cruises and at least half of them covered my birthday and the only time I received anything was on the Jewel in 2011. I travel alone and they made me feel so good. Keep your fingers crossed for this time. Either way I'll have a great birthday cruise.:D

Sent from my Nexus 7 using Forums mobile app If your a CAS member make sure you let the Casino host know. Then, please report back here what they give you. I'm curious to see if the gifts are ship dependent, CAS Tier dependent, or one gift all round no matter what. Thanks! Harriet

CasinoCruzGirl Posted March 12, 2014 #17 Share Posted March 12, 2014 Booked on that breakaway for March 23rd received my offer from the Taj in Atlantic City 11 days to go and I can't wait I wish it was my birthday but I can't wait to see what kind of perks I get. I know I will receive drink cards in my cabin upon arrival that sounds good to me a little winning would be great LOL. Does anyone know if they have the Napoleon and Josephine slot machine on the breakaway? I was in Las Vegas last month and played that machine for the first time I was playing $.80 per spin and hit the bonus rather quickly and won $250. Then last week I was at the Parx casino in Pennsylvania and saw that machine. I was playing $1.20 per spin this time and again got the bonus rather quickly this time Winning $600 on the bonus. I would love to play that machine again and make it 3 for 3 lol

We both are big players in AC here in NJ. We have never been on a NCL ship. Thank you You cannot sign up for the CAS card on the website. You'll have to do it on the ship. However, if you have a Harrah's/Ceasar's Total Rewards card, I'd urge you to either contact your Harrah's host, or call the CAS office at the number on the web page below. Depending on your Harrah's play level, you might get a cruise offer from them, but at the very worst, they'd probably pre-register you for the CAS cards and you might well get a free drink card also - and both would be waiting in your cabin when you get to the ship. Definitely use the CAS card for your play on the ship. NCL's CAS is about the best cruise line player rewards system, and you'll be pleased at the results in offers and comps. http://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/casinos-at-sea/players-club Edited March 12, 2014 by VideoTech

actinout04 Posted March 12, 2014 #20 Share Posted March 12, 2014 I will be on the EPIC for my birthday next week, I'm hoping for that robe (but would settle for the drink card haha). My family was on the Dawn a few weeks ago for my sister's birthday, the whole casino sang to her and it was such a treat, but the host didn't say anything about the birthday offer, even though everyone knew our names. I guess you really do have to ask.
cruisegal98 Posted March 12, 2014 #21 Share Posted March 12, 2014 Last year I was onboard for my birthday but I was at the HOT level and I did not receive any special treatment. This year I will also be on for my birthday but I just reached GOLDEN level so I hope I will get a birthday surprise. Or maybe I should ask about it. lol. Thanks for any answers you may have..:) If your birthday falls AROUND the time of your cruise NCL wiill give you a small birthday cake during a dinner. You'll have a 'birthday' card in your room, when you want the cake just give it to the host who seats you at dinner. If your birthday falls DURING your cruise CAS will give you 'something' else.......depending on your CAS status. Harriet
catlady461 Posted March 12, 2014 #25 Share Posted March 12, 2014 Well I was onboard the Dawn for my birthday last November and told the casino host it was my birthday during the cruise and all I received was a CAS tote(which was given to all the participants of the Slot Pull). I was HOT at the time; did not receive anything else. Another passenger I was speaking to said the birthday offer does not apply if you booked with CAS and received a comp room(which is what I had).
