Booking After a Swingers Cruise?

I don't know that I connect swingers with sophistication... LOL !!! I agree with the OP too. If it creeps you out .... pick another date or ship. Move on.

They don't creep me out, honestly. Some people are able to separate their sex lives from their sentimental/emotional lives. I couldn't do it. To me sex/intimacy and emotional connection are one and the same. But I totally understand those who do not think the same way. I'm not privy of the swinger scene (obvs), but I'm betting it isn't as raunchy or depraved as porn would have you believe. Or maybe it is, I honestly don't know. But lacking evidence, I have to play the "agnostic" card.

To OP's point, semen and other intimate body fluids are all over the place, at all times even on Ritz-Carlton pillows, I'm willing to bet. So that shouldn't be a concern since they *do* (per law, I believe) change linens and your stateroom.

Some of the responses here are beyond naive. :p

What do you do when checking into a nice hotel/motel? Do you require a copy of the register to your room for time immortal prior to your visit? Maybe you should ask to see the check in records from the time they delivered the mattress...

Really folks? Couples in the lifestyle look just like everyone else because they are everyone else. My experiences indicate their public behavior though is at least on par with the mainstream... and many behave more appropriately. I've seen things take place at the family pool (midship) during the middle of the day that had no business taking place, in any public place at any time, day or night. It wasn't a lifestyle/swingers cruise!

Exactly what are you (OP) afraid of? STD's? Seriously... my room stewards are in the room cleaning more than I'm in the room during a cruise. I think some (and I said some) of you have must have repressed sexual anxiety. What does it matter that someone had a big party before you decided to grace the decks with your germ free body? :D I doubt those sexy cooties are going to crawl up on you. :o

Most people in the lifestyle are very conservative in their public behavior and reserve their uninhibited side for others in the lifestyle. It makes me just a little curious to know what exactly you think people in the lifestyle (swingers) are like... On 2nd thought I don't want to know what you think about them.

If you're still afraid of sailing with others less inhibited than you I suggest staying at home.

I am the one who posted the original question. I realize I should have given more thought to my concerns before writing that post, not because of the replies but because I should have spent more time thinking. Really, as one of the replies on the Royal Caribbean board stated, "Grow Up!".

I've since posted this same basic statement on the Royal Caribbean board: what goes on in cabins during a swingers cruise is no different than what goes on anywhere on Earth all the time, maybe more of it but more power to them. Birds, bees, flowers and trees, people. It's all good. More of that and less of other things and the World would be a better place. Further, what consenting adults do is their own business, whatever that is, and who I am to judge. Finally, if their had ever been a health issue of ANY sort after a swingers cruise, or a gay and lesbian cruise, you can bet it would have been front page news of the most lurid sort.

So, statement and concerns retracted. I hope whoever is on that cruise has the best time ever and in some ways wish I could join them!

Andy - kudos to you for posting a retraction. So many people these days can't swallow (pun intended) their pride and just say "yeah...maybe I shouldn't have said that". Good for you.

Have a great vacation!!!
