mrg0433 Posted July 10, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2005 We took a Hawaiian cruise starting March 17. It was low 80's most of the time. Beautiful weather too. I would take one of the cruises that does Hawaii and Fanning Islands next time. Fly both ways because the Pacific Ocean was cold and windy returning to the mainland in late March. The ocean was warm in Hawaii in March, but not as warm as Barbados. I would not take a cruise in the summer months because Cyclones are in the South Pacific when we are having hurricanes in the Atlantic. Besides, why leave home during our warm weather. Winter time is a great getaway. Hawaiian Air runs fantastic air specials from the west coast until mid February. Last year they were $119 each way from LA to Honolulu. Next time we will go to Hawaii in early February and then visit Palm Springs, California for the last two weeks of February after flying back to California. DesrtDrmr Posted July 11, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2005 We cruised from L.A. to Hawaii and back this past April. It was cool the first two days out from Los Angeles, and the last two days in............warm up suit weather, but lovely on the other 9 days. Seas were bumpier the first day and a half out, one half day out from Kuaui, and the last day into L.A. from Ensenada. Weather in Hawaii was heavenly, although we did have rain in Hilo.
