canuckgirl Posted November 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2013 Like everyone on CC, I have been watching the various promotion rates come & go. I have been reading boards & diligently plugging in the info into Fareviewer since June. (I have 3 cabins booked on Early Saver rates for a cruise in Feb 2014). It suddenly occurred to me! Carnival's promo rates must be more predictable than just a random drop. Example: Fall/Winter Sale that takes place in the summer, Military Rate promo in Nov for Veterans/Remembrance Day.. these are obviously no coincidence. And if so, would any of you more seasoned Carnival cruisers know what promos will be coming up in Dec, Jan, etc.. based on what has happened in previous years? I realize that they will also have rates like the "Guest Appreciation" at random times or "Past Guest" to maximize their revenue & make it seem enticing for those who don't realize they are not really getting a good deal.. it just sounds that way because there is no other rate available during that specific time. Eg: Cruise has increased by $200 more than last month but you get $200 OBC. Don't get me wrong, I will still be checking at least 8x per day at random times while clearing my cookies/history like an OCD robot... haha! But does anyone know what's coming next? Lerin Posted November 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2013 The only thing you can predict for sure is that when they say a sale will end in a week, they really mean it will end in a few weeks...or months.
virginiab Posted November 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2013 Haven't they had a "12 days of christmas" for the past several years, with a different special each day?
