Its called Discover Scuba and most SCUBA shops offer it. I did it over 10 years ago at Coki Beach. Good location and great reef. Loved it enough to get certified.

My first time with Discover Scuba was at Coki Beach about 30 years ago. Since that time I've done it about 6 times all over the Caribbean, but have never gone to get certified. I guess I like the ease of snorkeling better. It's cool to do to find out if you want to make the committment to get certified or not.

Even most cruise ships offer it as an excursion. They are called "Discover Scuba" and I've also heard them referred to as "Resort Dives".

I've done it with a son of mine several times too. IMHO, a great intro to scuba. The limiting factors will be depth of dive (I think no more than 40 feet if I recall - might be a bit less), and it will be a gentle dive site with minimal current.

Have fun!
