Looking to book on CCL Conquest 12/14 2014. Balcony room. Which deck is better?

We prefer deck7 on most ship's. Deck 6 insulates you from the noise from Deck 5's Entertainment areas and Deck 8 protects you from the noise on the Lido Deck.

We personally prefer Deck 8 aft since we can just run up a flight of stairs and there's food and the adult pool. We never had a problem with noise. Even when the deck party was going on upstairs we could only hear it if out on our balcony.

A quick check shows that 6473, 6481, and 6442 are available. They are L shaped cabins with a very long balcony at the same price as a regular balcony. The L-Shapes usually don't have a sofa, but in most cases you won't miss it.

 

You may hear some music from the Degas Lounge but in my experience on other ships the 2 cabins on the Starboard side, 73 and 81, are not too bad. We will be in 6473 in May with DWs Sis & BIL in 6481.

 

8242 and 8449 are also available. They are not L-Shaped but are bigger and have longer balconies. The are right below the aft pool deck so there could be some noise from there.

 

Like someone else stated, I prefer deck 7 because it is quiet but will range out for special cabins.

We have been staying on Lido because it is great with the kids. Have not had any problem at all with noise and actually seems less crowded because it is a shorter area.

These only hold 2 people.

 

for us-- the best cabin on this ship is this ocean view cabin that sleeps 4 people

on the deck plans you want to find cabins that have a square in it to denote 4 people beds.

there are very few on deck 7 that has that symbol and you want to avoid deck 6 as its full of noisy areas.

 

7397 is for 4 people and super convenient. up two decks for food and pools down 2 decks for entertainment
