kipo92 Posted July 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2005 We are going on the Carnival Liberty for the 12 day Mediterranean Cruise leaving from Rome. We have cruised with Carnival several times before, all Caribbean destinations. We have always opted not to take the shore excursions - When the boat arrives in port, there are usually many other companies offering the same sightseeing tours as Carnival offers, at a fraction of the price. Has anyone been on this cruise before? Can anyone confirm that, when getting off the ship, there are independent tour companies offering tours? Thanks in advance. Liberty doesnt start sailing until July 20th. I would advise checking out your roll call and finding out what others are doing. No reason to wait until you get off the ship, so much info on these boards that you can find excursions from reliable operators and save money. Have you checked out the Europe Port of Call board? http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=
