I'm sailing out of Tampa on the Dawn and I see lots of post saying you cannot check cases of sodas and water out of Tampa. My sons and I can check 8 bags but I doubt we'll need that many and will have probably 2 or 3 bags we won't need. Can we put water and pop in one of the bags and just check the bag??

This is very similar to what I was asking about, for Whittier. I can fly to Anchorage with one bag that folds flat when empty, it can be in our other luggage. Then when I buy sodas in Anchorage, I can put them in that bag and check it for loading. But I will have to take the sodas out of the cardboard to load that bag.

I was hoping to find out if this is OK?
