YS Falls

We went to YS Falls last October (not on a cruise ship excursion). It is quite beautiful, but a very long drive from any of the cruise ports in Jamaica.

I would suggest Dunns River Falls if you are arriving at either Ocho Rios or Falmouth.

Has anyone gone to YS Falls? How about taking a taxi from one of the drivers outside the terminal? Looking for a taxi driver to take us here and a few other spots. Thanks

We visited YS Falls in August. YS Falls is a picturesque 120 foot, seven-tiered, cascading waterfall located in a secluded and rural area away from the crowds. The falls and pools are set within a lush and peaceful, jungle-like surrounding and offers a perfect place to relax, absorb amazing views and enjoy nature while at the same time allowing the adventurer to take on the thrill of jumping off a Tarzan rope, swim in the natural pools or fly over the falls on a zipline.

It is a 2-hour drive from Montego Bay and across the interior of the island to get there. According to the taxi rate schedule from our resort in Montego Bay, a taxi to YS Falls will cost approx. $200/person round trip. Although you could take a taxi from the cruise terminal, we hired a tour operator to take us there.
