Memories Grand Bahamas Beach Casino Freeport advice?

Hi,I am thinking of doing a week holiday in Freeport after our cruise out of Ft Lauderdale. A week from feb 8 to 15 2014. We have a chance to stay at anew hotel that will be called the Memories Grand Bahamas Beach casino.Apparently they have taken over another hotel and renovated it. Anyways my question is is this a good place to go for a holiday to Freeport and has anyone any info on this newer hotel that is opening any day now. All info is much appreciated. Thanks from canada
