Cheers program questions

Taking a 4 day cruise on the Paradise and planning on buying the cheers program but have a few questions.....

If we buy it the second day of the cruise will we be charged for 3 or 4 days?

Do non-alcoholic drinks count towards the 15 drink limit?

If i get a classic cocktail, can i still get the match-play coupon?

How long do you have to wait to order another drink (i.e. can i order more then one at a time or do I have to wait a certain amount of time)?

Any other helpful information about the program would be greatly appreciated.

It is my understanding that:

1. You will only be charged for 3 days

2.No, only alcoholic. you can have as many non-alcoholic ones as you want.

3.Yes- several people have reported still getting the match play coupons

4.5 minutes (I think)

You know, that makes sense. Depending on what time you board, you only have half a day on the first day.

I always buy it on day 2, you get charged from that day forward. N-A drinks do not count. Not sure about match play. Wait time is 5 min I think. You can order 1 at a time. If you drink beer some waiters will bring you a bucket, then run your S&S card 4 times at allotted time intervals

I just returned from a trip on the Paradise on 11/25/13 where I purchased Cheers for the first time. Yes, you can purchase on your 2nd day (first full day on board) and you will only be charged for 3 days ($172 includes gratuity). Non-alcoholic drinks are unlimited, they are not charged agains your allotted 15 drinks. Yes, you can still receive the match-play coupon, but you do have to ask for a receipt, they do not automatically give you one. You do have to wait 5 minutes between drinks, but usually if not at a bar, you can order another when the waiter brings you one because by the time they get back to the bartender it has been 5 minutes. We were very pleased with this new service. It was definitely cost effective for us and it was awesome to be able to get a libation or a coke whenever we wanted and not have to worry about how much it was costing us. Not sure if I would do this on a longer cruise, but for the four night, it will definitely be something I will continue to buy in the future.

Did you order any drinks on Day 1 on your S&S card? Some people have claimed that if you order a drink on Day 1, they will charge you for all four days when buying Cheers on Day 2.

Yes I bought drinks on day one, they did not take anything into account for what I did on day 1. I heard the same thing that they will charge you for day 1 and give you credit for what you spent, but that wasn't the case. Mine was a 7 day cruise, I bought it on day 2 and paid for 6 days.

Match play is when you spend over a certain amount on one receipt ( $10 I think ) your take your receipt to the casino and they will match you $5. I never had to ask for a receipt, it was automatic, but some people keep them to track their savings at the end, to see if cheers paid off or not
