Citi Thank You rewards

Has anyone used the CitiCard Thank you reward certficates to payon your existing cruise? We have always used them on our Carnival cruises and there was never a problem posting them to our cruise balance. Just wondered if anyone had any problems or was it a smooth transaction.

According to the Thank You website,

 

"Certificates cannot be applied to existing reservations, shipboard credit, excursions or gratuities and can only be used toward new cruise bookings made directly through Royal Caribbean International. See terms and conditions for more details."

 

However - under the terms and conditions, among other things it states that "Certificates can be used for deposits and final payments."

Once Citibank sends you the voucher you just fill them out with the reservation number. The credit will be applied within two weeks. Just know that they may not be applied to any reservation made with a travel agent!

My daughter and son-in-law use them all the time. They use them to pay on existing reservations!

Thanks, I have always used them with existing reservations with my Carnival cruises...I just wondered it anyone had used them or had a problem with other cruiselines. Thanks again....
