bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #153 Share Posted May 24, 2014 At 3:15pm, I met up with Keith. We got ready and headed down to the splash zone. Keith loved this area Link to short video:
bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #154 Share Posted May 24, 2014 We stayed in the pool area for about an hour. Then we went back to the room and got ready for the evening festivities. Keith and I got ready quickly and I took him down to the promenade to kill some time before dinner. We decided to do dinner in the main dining room tonight. We did My Time Dining at 5:45pm They brought Keith some chicken tenders and fries pretty quickly. I had the banana rum soup as an appetizer. It was good Fillet of Beef Strawberry Cheesecake And chocolate sensation Everything was good, about the quality we’ve experienced on most of the other Royal Caribbean ships. It did take a long time though. Up next – a few more from the dining room and afterward.
bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #155 Share Posted May 24, 2014 A few more from dinner and afterward Three generations And a quick peak out the balcony of our room after dinner After dinner, we went back to the room and changed. My parents came over to the room at 9pm to watch Keith while Heather, Aunt Pat and I went to watch Hairspray at 10:30pm.
bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #156 Share Posted May 24, 2014 We went to the theater at 10pm, after setting at the café promenade for a while. For this particular show, you are not supposed to use photography (as opposed to the usual no flash photography), so I only have a few pictures from this portion of our journey. We all really enjoyed the show. We got back to the room a little after midnight and went to bed. For steps, it was a big one today. 24,005 steps and it said it was approximately 12 miles. And I carried Keith for approximately 2 miles. Up next – Day
bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #157 Share Posted May 24, 2014 DAY 3 – At sea We got up right around 7am. The room was getting a little messy, so we cleaned it up and then got ready to go get some breakfast. At 8:15am, we went down to Johnny Rockets. They were full inside, but the outside was pretty much empty. We sat down and then, with only the sun shining, it started pouring down rain. We went to the Windjammer instead. The greeter told us they were filled to capacity. I knew my mom and dad were in there, so I told him that we were meeting them. Once we got inside, I found a least 20 empty tables, so I don’t know what the deal was with “being filled to capacity”. Breakfast was good Here was Keith’s breakfast. Here is mine. Maybe I got those reversed The designated play time for Keith’s group was 10am. So we walked around some to pass the time. Then we ran into Keith’s favorite character
bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #158 Share Posted May 24, 2014 For today, Keith was the only one in his age group that showed up. It was a little bit of a bummer, as Keith loves to play with other kids. I’m really looking forward to him being able to participate in the programs when he turns 3. bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #159 Share Posted May 24, 2014 After that, I went back to the room to try to figure out how to use the internet credit for Diamond members. I couldn’t get the keyboard to work in our stateroom, so I went to guest relations. They weren’t much help. They said that the coupon was already applied. I told them that I had tried it and it wouldn’t tell me how much credit I had left. She told me that it didn’t have the ability to tell me how much credit I had left. Oh course, on every other cruise that I’ve applied the coupon I’ve been able to see this, so I don’t know what the deal was, but I never could get it resolved. I never got any credit, as I was diligent about keeping track of my own minutes. Keith napped during this time. At 12:30pm, he woke up, so we went down to the promenade to catch the tail end of the parade. Up next – lunch…
bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #160 Share Posted May 24, 2014 After the parade, we went up to the café in Central Park to get some lunch. They were full, so we went up to the Windjammer instead. It took us a little less than 5 minutes to find a table. Food was good. bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #162 Share Posted May 24, 2014 At 3pm, Heather took Keith back to the room for a nap. I went down to the walking track and walked 5 laps. Lots of helpful and motivational signs along the track After that, I walked around the ship for a while and then ended up in the Viking Crown Lounge. After this, I went back to the room to change and then we went down to watch the ice skating show. Up next – The ice skating show...

bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #165 Share Posted May 24, 2014 For dinner, Aunt Pat, Heather, Keith and I went to Johnny Rocket’s. They had a deal, which I cannot remember at this point and didn’t seem to write down, but I believe it was buy one cover charge, get one free. The food was great. My hamburger Keith’s grilled cheese Enjoying the food Enjoying “Special Agent Oso” My favorite part Up next – Keith’s favorite part of the cruise??? bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #166 Share Posted May 24, 2014 For the two to 3 year olds, around 7pm, they had us come up to the sports track to ride the battery powered jeeps and stuff. Keith absolutely loved it. Links to videos: After that, we went back to the room and watched a little tv before going to bed. For steps today, I did 17,281. It listed this as being approximately 8.6 miles. Up next – Day 4 - St Thomas
bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #167 Share Posted May 24, 2014 Day 4 – St Thomas I’m not sure exactly when we got up, but it was probably around 7:15am. Keith prefers that we don’t sleep in (ever). We went to the Park Café. It’s not really my style of breakfast (mainly bagels, breakfast sandwiches, etc), but I found a danish to eat. Keith wasn’t sure about it either Maybe Papa’s food is better? After finishing up with breakfast, we headed down to get off the ship. We are at St Thomas today. We really didn’t have anything special planned. We were docked at the opposite end of time from every other time we’ve been here. Up next – the shops around the dock…

bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #171 Share Posted May 24, 2014 We went back to the room and got changed around 11:30am. I check on one of those TV boards and it said the Windjammer was full. We headed up there anyway. It was completely empty. I had a hotdog and some pasta for lunch. It was good Just a little dessert Keith having his lunch He really liked looking out at the water Up next – a tour of the Windjammer…
bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #172 Share Posted May 24, 2014 I figured I might as well give you a little tour of the Windjammer As you can see, the Windjammer shows as being full One real design flaw I saw in the Windjammer was that at each side, just a little past where the desserts stop, it narrows down to an aisle way that is only wide enough for 3 people. If they removed one small island on each side of the ship that seats 6 people, it would increase the width of the aisle way by 50% and really cut down on congestion. Up next – a ride through town…
bionicman97 Posted May 24, 2014 Author #173 Share Posted May 24, 2014 After lunch, my aunt, uncle, mom and I decided to take a ride around. We asked to go up to the top of the mountain, but instead ended up at the dock of the other ships on the opposite end of town. They brought us back to town and dropped us off there. Here are some pics from the ride

We stayed here about 45 minutes, then went back to the room to get ready for dinner.
