maddiesean Posted December 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 19, 2013 We are looking at doing the Secret River and Playa Del Carmen excursion. Has anyone done the caverns with children? We are looking at doing this excursion with an 11 and 9 year old. Wondering how deep the water is and how much swimming is involved. Thank you in advance! kandtq Posted December 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2013 We did it with a 6 and 9 year old. Our guide was excellent and led both our kids by the hand when it was needed. The water is deep in a few spots, but as long as you can "doggie paddle", the life vest keeps you above water. It was an incredible excursion! My kids loved it! I'd be happy to answer any other questions.
Talex831 Posted December 28, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2013 Best excursion I have ever been on! Cannot recommend it enough! Do not, I repeat do not try to book on your own! Go through the cruiseline. Getting to and from the mainland is time consuming and can be weather dependent. You do not want to mss the ship!
