Appleton VX Rum

Is anyone familiar with the Appleton VX Rum offered online in The Fun Shops? Is it similar to Cruzan Aged Dark Rum? We are looking to buy a bottle of rum so we can add to the weak frozen daiquiris on the ship. Also, would the Appleton mix well with Coke? TIA :D

I think you'll be fine with the Appleton XV, an excellent choice, as is Mount Gay aged rum.

Appleton Estate is my favorite rum ever. The first time I had it was on a Carnival ship, and the moment I took a sip, I shed a single tear as angels sang in the background. It mixes great with coke, but it is just as good to sip on the rocks if that's your thing. You will not be disappointed.

My absolutely favorite rum. Whenever I go o Jamaica I have to bring back at least 2 bottles. Appleton with coke or Pepsi, also with cranberry juice, on the rocks. Appleton with Red Bull. I love my Appleton. Then again I'm prejudice when it comes to Appleton.

It's amazing how the rum is produced.
