Belize Snorkling

What's the best way to snorkel in Belize? We are sailing on Carnival. Is there a private tour better than what the ship offers?

We have used Ecotours and had a good day with them. Went snorkeling from their boat and then we were taken to Goff's caye for a bit. You can also snorkel right from the island (Goff's) if you prefer.

We've set up a private excursion for our family with Ivar Marchand for next May. He comes highly recommended and we did not want a large group snorkel. Been there, done that and hate fins in our face. We also want to go to Shark Ray Alley and another stop. We wanted more time snorkeling than a beach stop with a lot of people.

Do you have a website or contact info for him? We are going in March and haven't booked anything yet...

We booked with coralbreezetours. I just watched the others in my family snorkel on our excursion. They said it was the best snorkeling site they had ever been to. There was a small group in our boat. They snorkeled at two sites and went to Caye Caulker for about an hour and a half. We would have preferred skipping Caye Caulker and going back to shop. I think they want to help the locals on Caye caulker by stopping there for lunch.
