Macdooger4 Posted December 29, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2013 Hi. Few Q on stingray city first: what's the water like in July, calm? Rough? Warm? If we book through stingray sailing will we have time afterwards to take a bus or cab to Hell? We've been there before, and kids want to go so they can send a postcard, we know there's nothing else to really see there. Are there cabs at the stingray sailings dock that we could take? How far is the turtle farm from Hell? Basically, we like to do stingrays, hell, and turtle farm, in that priority, but not sure we will have time for all. What's the best method to try to see all? Cab, bus, etc or is it too much? Ship will be there from 8:00am to only 3:00pm.

We booked through Capt. Marvins and did a combo tour that sounds like what you are wanting to do. We did Stingray City + one other snorkel stop. We then transitioned to a Turtle Park / Hell tour where we stopped at the Hell Post Office to send postcards home (there is an adjacent gift shop to buy post cards). Cards were about .50 US and stamps were about .50 also (take small bills with you unless you want change back in Caymen dollars), then went on a Turtle Farm tour, then back to the port. We had about 45-60 minutes to wander around, get a snack, and get in line for tendering back to the ship. Hope that helps!
Macdooger4 Posted December 29, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted December 29, 2013 Thank you, I was just looking at that combo on capt Marvin's website! Do you know how many people his stingray boat holds?

I think they have several and deploy based on the crowd size, but all are considerably smaller than ship excursions. Our boat had around 20 of us on it...
