Attemping El Cid in Cozumel

We have kids (14, 13, 11 and 18 mo) traveling with us on our cruise next week. We are in Cozumel Jan 15th. We'd like to snorkel and have somewhat of some beach time without having to split up. Thought about El Cid which is within walking distance. It's always a crapshoot, but does this place get too busy with a few ships in port? We can always hop a taxi to The money bar, playa mia etc. but would like to avoid doing that because of the little one.
