bwg03 Posted January 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2014 I am trying to upgrade to a balcony if the price is reasonable. Has anyone tried calling Carnival and requesting to see what they can do if you want to upgrade? Would i be wasting my time? I leave in 3 days on the Freedom. marimojo Posted January 7, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2014 I don't think there are any balconies left, the website only shows suites available for your sailing. You have nothing to lose, give Carnival a call and see - maybe they a balcony for you. You will probably have to pay market price for it. Good luck. bflohr Posted January 7, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2014 If you booked with them its worth a try. If you went though a TA, I not sure they will even look. Still worth a try.

If booked direct would go to website first and if it looks good call, if TA do the same and call Ta if warranted. In other words they will not negotiate with you
grumplin Posted January 7, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2014 I just upgraded our rooms today. It doesn't hurt to call. When I looked online I didn't see two suites next to each other but the Carnival agent did.
KPfromCT Posted January 7, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 7, 2014 You have absolutely NOTHING to lose by calling. Even though they don't show being available on their website, doesn't mean they REALLY don't have any. Call, and let us know.:D
ranger10! Posted January 8, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 8, 2014 You are wasting your time by asking here! I would call them right away. The website may show no rooms available, however people cancel and plans change. We have upgraded calling them before.
