Port Facilities for Silver Shadow in Cairns

Silver Shadow has an overnight in Cairns on 26th January. Can anyone who has previously done the Melbourne to Bali Cruise please advise if she is likely to be berthed at the Port of Cairns or will she be at anchor off Yorkeys Knob.

Thanks turtlemichael for the good news and the website with the shipping information. We love visiting Cairns and how convenient for us to be right in town on this occasion.

If you have nothing planned for Australia Day January 26th after your arrival there will be a number of free events on the Esplanade which go through to 9.00pm finishing with a movie. Usually there is a fireworks display too (not quite Sydney Harbour standards but good nevertheless) though I don't know if that is planned this year.

How wonderful to be in Cairns for Australia Day. A stroll along the Esplanade sounds like a great idea.

Great location in Cairns for docking. Lots of restaurants, casino, micro brewery-Blue Sky- and a great place to walk day and night. Enjoy. Many time there, always something new.
