JAGR Posted January 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2014 Hi, All: We are booked on the Liberty for March 15, 2014. We have been on a cruise this time of year for the last three years since DW teaches at college, and this is her Spring break. We've had pretty good luck with seating until last year on the Glory. We had second floor seating (not bad) but with a couple who didn't speak English. I'd either like to sit at a two top or a group table. We like late dining and having the same service team, but I suppose we could give that up for the Your Time option. Any suggestions? I suppose we could try and find the Maitre'd and slip him money, but beyond that, nothing comes to mind.

His address should be LIMAITRED@Carnival.com.
SkyMaster Posted January 13, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2014 On embarkation day the Maiter'd is usually available for dining requests, so I suggest that you go see him at earliest opportunity. Check the "Fun Times", or ask the folks at the Guest Services desk for the exact time, and place for dining requests. More often than not, he can help you out, and if you get there early, you stand a better chance of having your requests granted. Hope you have a GREAT cruise. carrieluvsgreg Posted January 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2014 You can actually get the same team with "your time" option. When you check in you simply request to be placed in the same section. It's the best of Both worlds! We just got off the paradise with 14 people and fell in love with our dining team on night one, there was no problem being placed back in their section every night. carrieluvsgreg Posted January 13, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2014 Also, when we booked our 20th anniversary cruise we let our PVP know it was our anniversary sailing and they put a request for us to have a table for 2, it was no problem either. (That trip was not your time dining...)
joybaby Posted January 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2014 Go to the maître d' when boarding. He is in one of the dining rooms, just ask one of the employees in the red shirts that say ASK ME. He is there bet. 1-3. There will be a line. Have your sail and sign card handy and give him your request. Second seating in not a problem, we just got off the Dream and he said we could have anything we wanted, most people want first. I find emailing him did not good. Go that day! golfadj Posted January 13, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 13, 2014 You dont have to bribe the MD to do this. And if you dont like where they put you see the MD or hosts on your way out of dining room and request a change.
