soxfanattic Posted January 16, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2014 We are staying at the Hampton Inn in Westshore on Saturday for our Legend cruise on Sunday. I'll let you know how it is.
carrieluvsgreg Posted January 16, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 16, 2014 Check the Hampton website. They offer several hotels in the area that do shuttles to the port. We stayed at the Brandon location in December, but they do not offer free shuttle... (We had a unique situation...and needed parking, but not a shuttle... )
Ehpride Posted January 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2014 Hampton Inn Ybor City. It's in a quiet area. It has a good breakfast. There's a shuttle to the port. Lots of food choices. It's a short walk to the nearest trolley stop. There's no airport shuttle, but none of the downtown hotels have that as far as I know.
jlindemer Posted January 16, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 16, 2014 I found a great park and cruise deal at the Comfort Suites Casino/Fairgrounds. $129.99 during spring break. It is #3 on Trip Advisor out of 158 hotels.
MuffyKismet Posted January 16, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 16, 2014 Embassy suites is perfect!! you get your car parked in the parking garage and the cruise port is just down the street (super close) . Plus if you getting there the night before you can check out Ybor city or have fun at Channelside shops and restaurants and never have to drive $5.00 trolly all day and night right in front of Embassy suites!! Perfect!
BenjiRodney Posted January 16, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 16, 2014 We did Hampton Ybor City, free breakfast and shuttle, they even picked us up after the cruise and stored our luggage until we took a cab back to the airport later that day. Perfect! When I looked here it said there was a $22 per night valet fee. There was no self parking.

Thank you in advance for any help... This link might help you narrow down your choices. The Westshore and Rocky Point areas will most likely yield you the hotels with airport shuttles. http://www.parkingstay.com/p/tampa.html We have used the Holiday Inn Rocky Point twice for our pre-cruise hotel and been very happy. Also, if you can get a great rate, try the LaQuinta Tampa Airport. Nice, clean hotel in an upscale area across from the Mall and near restaurants. They have an airport shuttle and free breakfast. It may be worth the taxi fare of apx $25 to/from the port, if the room rate only snags you a good deal, especially if you can use an AAA or AARP or other type discount. http://www.lq.com/lq/properties/propertyProfile.do?propId=597 . muleevans Posted January 16, 2014 #11 Share Posted January 16, 2014 We stayed at a Springhill Suites in Tampa - had a breakfast but not sure about a shuttle. It was very nice and very reasonable.
