Serenade of the seas with kids?

We are looking into a cruise on the serenade or the freedom - it seems that kids love the freedom of the seas, but I'm interested on any reviews of the serenade. Our son is 7 and loved the kids club on Disney, but probably wouldn't do rock climbing etc

I love the Radiance class, but for a trip with the kids I'd take the Freedom. There will be A LOT more for the kids. It's just more of a family oriented ship.

Our first cruise with our kids was on the Serenade. They loved it. It was their first cruise so they had nothing to compare it to. Everything for them was new and exciting. They were 8 and 10 at the time. It was only 2 years later that we jumped up to one of the bigger ships.
