According to the August 2005 Edition, The Top 10 Major cruise lines are

 

1. Crystal Cruise Line

2. Radisson Seven Seas Cruises

3. Oceania Cruise Line

4. Disney Cruise Line

5. Celebrity Cruise Line

6. Princess Cruise Line

7. Holland America Line

8. Cunard Line

9. Orient Line

10. Royal Caribbean Internationl

It's interesting to note that Travel and Leisure rates 400+ passenger ships in the "large category"; hence, no mention of Seabourn, Silversea, Windstar, etc. They are ranked in the "small ship" category.

 

Ahh - what a shame - no mention of Carnival or NCL:p

Carnival owns 3 of the cruise lines mentioned as being the top 10.

Holland America

Princess

Cunard

I'm aware of Carnival's holdings, Artie. Although Royal Caribbean owns Celebrity, both made the "top 10". Each has its own personality, service standards, amenities, etc. I was just trying to make the point that the Carnival-branded ships didn't make the "cut".
