DMB41 Posted July 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2005 I have been on two RCCL cruises this last year and am booked on two more. I noticed that Carnival offers a two day cruise to nowhere sailing from NY in October. Can anyone tell me a little about this?
serene56 Posted July 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2005 A cruise to nowhere is like a longer cruise ecept you dotn go nowhere. You carry on and off your own luggage. (so no smuggling alcohol or it will get confiscated) You will have a formal night for dining. I did two of those-- now I rather pay that kind of money to go somewhere. DMB41 Posted July 19, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted July 19, 2005 I just wanted to try this before I book a week long cruise with Carnival,as everyone I know who sailed with them did not have very many good things to say. Plus,it is something to do for the weekend. I was unsure about formal nights and shows, are there set things like on real cruise,or is it like a free for all? serene56 Posted July 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2005 To be honest-- Please do not compare a 7 day carnival cruise on a cruise to nowhere. The pace on a nowhere cruise is a lot moe faster/upbeat then a longer cruise. Many people are squeezing in a longer cruise into that 7 days. I lost my best friend to ever trying a cruise based on a cruise to nowhere. She will not cruise again.
