Help me choose a cruise!!!

So,

My Wife and two friends decided to go on a cruise this summer. We are stuck between choosing between two of them.

 

The two cruise are:

 

Carnival Fantasy - 5 day

Charleston, SC

12 Hr drive for us

Ports: Little Stirrup Caye & Nassau

 

Carnival Liberty

Port Canaveral (Orlando), FL

16 Hr Drive for us

Ports: Half Moon Cay & Nassau

 

My wife and I have both experienced the Conquest class and have never been on the fantasy class. I really like the Conquest class ship with the 2.0 upgrades. The other couple have never been on a cruise before. Do you think the 4 hour extra drive is worth it for the 2.0 upgrades on the Liberty or will the Fantasy be just as good?

I would drive the extra and go for the Liberty. I have never sailed on her but i do love leaving from Port Canaveral. The park and cruise there is effortless.

4 extra hours is alot more driving, but worth it if you're driving to the port anyway. Liberty seems like one of Carnival's best ships plus you get to visit Half Moon Cay.

I suggest to wait till the Sunshine come to port canaveral and then get new(kinda) ship with all the 2.0 goodies with the shortened drive.

I would drive the additional 4 hours to get to the Alchemy bar on the Liberty. That's my thing though Lol :D

 

I prefer that class of ship over the Fantasy class ships, so the added driving time would be worth it to me.

Liberty with Half Moon Cay. I like the Fantasy class ships because I like smaller ships, but IMO, HMC is worth the extra drive time making Liberty the better choice.
